Procedures for Dispatching the Bone Marrow Sample

Please contact VetCell at least 24 hours before anticipated bone marrow extraction so that we know that you are planning to send us a sample. Vets in the UK should send their samples to the lab using Royal Mail's special delivery service for next day delivery before 1pm. Vets outside the UK must follow the instructions given in the bone marrow aspiration kit for sending their samples via DHL. To ensure the sample is dispatched the same day that it is taken, samples should only be collected in the morning and you will need to ensure that you have planned the dispatch of the sample in advance to avoid delay. The lab cannot accept deliveries on a Saturday, (unless under exceptional circumstances) and therefore samples should only be taken Monday-Wednesday. Sample collections on Thursday's are only a possibility if delivery to VetCell's laboratory at Biobest can be guaranteed for Friday.
