IP
VetCell has established a strong IP position in veterinary stem cell
technology. The Company has committed to fully protect its intellectual
property position and currently owns or has exclusive licences to a
number of internationally pending patents. Foreign counterparts to these
patents have been filed in Europe, the US, the Far East, the Middle
East, South America and Australia.
These patents span the major aspects of the isolation, manufacture and
therapeutic veterinary uses of mesenchymal stem cells. Based on this
portfolio, VetCell believes it has a clear and unencumbered path to
commercialization of its MSC-based therapeutic products and that
competitors developing similar stem cell products will require a license
to practice the intellectual property protected by the Company. We are
confident that our current patent portfolio provides exclusive entry
into our target markets.
