New Training Date Announced - 9th March 2012

We have just announced a new date for our hugely popular StemRegen training course. This course is aimed at veterinary surgeons in the UK and Europe who wish to learn the techniques involved in using stem cell therapy to treat tendon and ligament injuries in horses. Recent research has shown that VetCell's stem cell therapy is the best way to treat a core lesion of the SDFT.

The next training day will take place on 9th March 2012 at the Royal Veterinary College near London and will be hosted by Professor Roger Smith who invented the technique and has researched it for over ten years. The day starts with informative lectures in the morning including analysis of relevant research and conventional treatments. Lunch follows, and then an afternoon of practical sessions where vets can get the chance to try out the techniques. These will include demonstrations on how to perform a bone marrow aspiration from the sternum and the tuber coxae, how to implant stem cells into the SDFT using ultrasound, and also how to use VetCell's E-PET system (Equine Platelet Enhancement Therapy).

VetCell calendars are done and dusted!

Phew! We've just sent out the second batch of our VetCell 2012 calendars. They are looking fantastic and have now been posted to all UK equine vet practices. Hopefully that will keep us in their minds all year long! There's a lovely case study for each month so it offers a nice selection of 12 horses from varying disciplines and also has a list of equestrian shows and events for each month. Lots of interest in stem cells at the Ashbrook Equine Hospital open day

Carly Briggs (our extremely helpful intern) and Lucy Graham (Marketing Executive) have just returned from a very successful day at the Ashbrook Equine Hospital open day. Lot's of people were interested in our stem cell therapy and E-PET and we had fun chatting to them and explaining more about how it all works. Lucy gave a talk to 50 or so visitors in the refreshments tent and they all seemed to enjoy themselves. Hopefully they will think of us if they ever come across a horse that we could help.

Latest published RVC research supports VetCell's StemRegen

We are thrilled to announce that the Equine Veterinary Journal have just published the RVC's latest research on VetCell treated horses. It shows that VetCell's StemRegen stem cell therapy reduces the chance of re-injury by a half when compared with other treatments. They also found that VetCell treated horses have tendons that are more normal (when examined under a microscope) than those treated with other methods. Grand National runners had stem cell treatment from VetCell

We were excited to discover that four of the horses running at Aintree over the last week were VetCell patients that had had stem cell therapy in the last few years. Two of those horses ran in the Grand National on Saturday. Unfortunately we can't disclose their names but it just goes to show that stem cell therapy really does give horses a second chance of reaching the pinnacle of the sport. Congratulations to their trainers and owners!

VetCell treated racehorse wins

A VetCell-treated racehorse won today, just over a year after being treated with VetCell's stem cell therapy for a tendon injury. We can't disclose who until we find out if the connections are happy for us to do so. We're hoping to do some research in the next few months to update our figures for numbers of winners post treatment. You can view these figures in the table on the right hand side of every page.
